Coverdrone were pleased to be invited to attend, in conjunction with ARPAS-UK, the Highlands & Islands Enterprise UAV Conference on Thursday 8th November. The one-day conference was an opportunity for attendees to get hands-on and clued-up on the very latest Drones and UAVs and how and why they are changing.
The conference was a chance for both participants that use drones already as part of their business or would like to introduce drones to their business, to learn exactly what is required when buying in drone services.
Throughout the morning, a mini safety briefing was held for guests to find out more about training, certification and the regulations required. Following on from this, attendees were then able to explore the ‘Drone Zone’ to see some of the latest fixed and rotary wing drones and sensors and learn how they operate and how they can be utilised.
After a short coffee break, another briefing was conducted in regards to mission planning and processing in which details were revealed about software to help plan operations and get the most from data that can be gathered.
The presentations were held by various exhibitors such as Caintech, Cyberhawk, ROAVR, Turkey Red Media and Pricewaterhouse Coopers.
For the duration of the afternoon, workshops were then held relating to construction and siteworks, building and asset inspection and environmental monitoring and land use.
The event provided Coverdrone with the opportunity to meet some of our existing clients and put names to faces as well as network with potential drone users and inform them of the service we can provide. We also found it very beneficial to find out how our clients utilise drones within their businesses and seeing the end product.
We would like to thank ARPAS-UK and the Highlands & Islands Enterprise for the opportunity to be a part of the conference!
